Not a newborn anymore - 4 months

My big, squishy baby is amazingly somehow 4 months old already.  I wish I could make time slow down a little bit!  My future linebacker is an astonishing 20.11 lbs and 27.5" long.  He's still a good sleeper, he's still a good eater (obviously) and he's still loving to give his big toothless smiles.  His baby giggles are just to die for.  He's still not quite rolling over yet.  He has such a huge body to lug over!  He tries hard, can't quite do it and then gets frustrated.  He hates being in the backseat by himself and he's so strong that he can break blood vessels in this face when he screams for even brief moments.  I avoid driving alone with him whenever possible!  He still loves being worn in the wrap.  He loves his play mat and toys.  His favorite toy are his links.  He still loves bath time and bed time.  I am going to cry when he can no longer fit in his swing.  Best thing ever.  Hope you enjoy these pictures of my little-big man!  I have a lot of posts I need to catch up on.  We went up to VA for 2 weeks and I have so many Halloween pictures to share!  Hopefully someday I will find the motivation to do more than one post a month.  Lordy.  For now free time is like gold and only the things on the very tippy top of my list get priority.  The time during naps goes by in the blink of an eye.  Not complaining.  I sure do love every moment with my lil man! (... well minus the car seat melt downs...)  If you want to see more of what we're up to and tons of adorable fat baby pictures be sure to check out my Instagram.

Paxton's first pumpkin patch

Fall in FL isn't quite the leaves changing colors, cooler temps and apple picking it is up North, but I was so excited to find that there were still some fun pumpkin activities to do in our area.  Paxton just turned 3 months old, so I wanted to get some 3 month photos and document his first Fall. We went out to Holland Farms and had such a nice afternoon enjoying their beautiful farm and we got some awesome, great big pumpkins!
My big 3 month boy!

My little pumpkin!
First time having his toes in the grass - so many firsts!

My boys!

It was about a million degrees and I was melting in my boots, jeans and long sleeves.  But, I wanted cute Fall pictures, dang it!
Our little family of 3.  Paxton's first hay ride.

My goal was finding a pumpkin that Pax would fit in... yup totally going to attempt that baby in a pumpkin picture.

Brad's pick.  This one will be our jack-o-lantern!
The farm was so much fun.  They had it all decorated and cute.  A hay ride took you out and back from the pumpkin fields.  They had adorable ponies for pony rides, swings, a zip line, sorghum maze, sand box and giant corn pit for the kiddos.  I can't wait to take Pax back each year!

3 months going strong

Happy 3 months to my big, beautiful boy!  He is just the apple of my eye.

If your thinking he looks huge... then you're right.  He gets the Biggest Baby Ever award.  He is officially off the charts.  He's 18.9 lbs and 26.4"!!!  Just more of him to love!
I'm not sure how the last 3 months have gone by so fast.  More over, I'm not sure how my baby has grown so incredibly fast!  I'm so glad I take tons of pictures of him all day every day because he changes so quickly.
Some nights he'll sleep all the way through.  Some nights he wakes up once, quickly nurses and then goes right back to sleep.  Ever so thankful that this big guy sleeps so well at night!  We finally got a baby monitor and he is sleeping in his crib at night now.   Moving him to his room was super hard for me.  I cried the first night!  I still don't like having him so far, even if it's just across the hall.  But, if he wakes up at night I always bring him in bed with me to nurse and do the same in the morning when he wakes up.  Usually he'll drift off again after nursing in the morning around 6:30/7 am and I can sneak in an extra hour of sleep.  Nursing is still going great.  We don't even have to think about it anymore.  I don't need to nurse him at night with a night light to try and get him correctly positioned.  He knows what to do (but still ONLY on the right. Bah!).  He's about to roll over any day now.  He is so big, it's just so hard for him!  But, he's really strong and can arch his back and push with his leg and get up on his side.  He moves himself around really well by kicking his legs and wiggling around, so we have to be careful.  He still loves bath time and just laughs and splashes around.  We put him in our pool a couple times and he kicks his legs and generally seems to enjoy water. He's getting more alert and improving his hand eye coordination.  He seems to get more interested in everything every day.  He's showing more and more interest in his toys.  And he's getting stronger and stronger at tummy time.  He is just a total joy.  I love spending my days with him.  I love how we can spend minutes at a time just staring at each other.  It's like he's lovingly staring at me as much as I am at him.  He's starting to do the most adorable baby giggles.  It melts my heart! He's happy, easy going and so much fun.  I've said that I love a lot of things in my life, but there is no love like this amazing love I have for my child.  Best ever!
