Burgers and Froats

I just have to share with you one of my favorite burger joints, Gordie's by the Sunabe seawall in Chatan. I love this retro, laid-back, eclectic eatery with friendly staff and delish menu. Their slogan is “Homemade in Sincerity.” I love the mismatched chairs and tables, charming outside seating in the garden and watching the chefs make up your order fresh. We went here with friends once before and I've been looking forward to going back ever since. The menu has a great selection of drinks, shakes, salads and burgers.

Next time I'll have to try the "rootbeer froat." HA! I am obsessed with the bbq chicken salad on their menu. Brad and I shared one last time, but this time I had to have one all to myself. The burgers come with a cup of soup and fresh home style french fries. Brad always gets the onion rings with his. I got the chicken burger and while it was delish I will just get the large size of the salad next time! Love it. While we were there they were playing Bob Marley and reggae the whole time! Kind of funny. Added nicely and some how fit perfectly to the chill, unique atmosphere.
I love the food. I love the atmosphere. Definitely a favorite on the island!

I just came across your blog! My husband and I spent a tour in Okinawa as well! We didn't find Gordie's until about 6 months before we left ... it became a quick favorite of ours! Boy, makes me miss the island!
